How It Works
We’ve designed our process to be simple and stress-free.
Before the service
We liaise with the funeral director and venue to ensure everything runs smoothly. We can also touch base with the family too.
During the service
The service is streamed live using professional broadcast equipment, operated quietly and respectfully from the background.
After the service
Families can view the recording online to share or keep as a lasting memory.
No complicated logins. No technical stress. Just a clear, reliable way to bring people together.
More Than a Livestream
Many families choose to include additional elements that help celebrate a life and preserve memories:
• Memorial slideshow or photo tribute
• Recorded keepsake of the service (USB)
• Simple title cards or name slides
• Optional music playback integration
These additions help transform a livestream into a meaningful shared experience.
Trusted by Families Across the Illawarra
We’re honoured to support families during some of their most important moments. Our calm presence, attention to detail, and respectful approach are what families and funeral directors trust us for.
“Jason and his team recently provided the livestream for my elderly mother's funeral. As a family we are so grateful that elderly relatives and family living far and wide were able to participate in this event. The livestream was amazing with feedback "The images were so crisp and clear we felt like we were actually there" and "we could hear everything because the audio was excellent". The coverage was from multiple angles and shots with the livestream downloadable for years to come. Thank you Cole Studios!”

“Highly Recommend!!! Jason and his team recently provided the audiovisual and livestreaming for my sister's funeral. Leading up to the day, Jason's communication was fantastic, he took the time to meet us at the venue to ensure that he understood our vision and went above and beyond to provide the necessary equipment. I had quite a few friends who watched the funeral remotely mention that the livestream was perfect so I finally had the courage to watch the video today, and I was so impressed. The recording was clear, the camera positions perfect and respectful. Thank you Jason and your team for everything. Elise and the Romeyko family”

“Thank you so much for your wonderful review, I'm glad that our live stream could bring the beautiful funeral service of your wonderful dad to the family and friends all over the world. Thank you so much for your beautiful words, reviews like this make a job even more worthwhile and more rewarding. We are deeply sorry for your loss and we are glad that we could do this little bit to help ease the pain and so the family can share the wonderful service that you planned. Kind regards, Jason and the team at Cole Studios Live Streaming.”

“Having never contemplated live streaming for a funeral service, COVID restrictions made us think of how we were going to share this funeral with our friends & family as we wanted to give Mum the send off she truly deserved. Jason did a superb job live streaming for us during this difficult time & the family couldn't be happier. From start to finish Jason was fantastic, from his professional videography to his compassion for the occasion. We were initially concerned that it might not be value for money but after seeing the end product we were very happy and the final production was worth every dollar. We would highly recommend his services to anyone. Thank you Jason.”
- Stuart Peters
“We have used Jason and his team on a number of critical funeral services and the results have been great. I would highly recommend his business when you just need things to be perfect. He himself is a perfectionist and cares deeply about giving a high quality end product. The team are careful with their presentation at sensitive moments and have the ability to blend into the background, never making the event about them. I appreciate being able to rely on Jason, Julie, Bobby and his team to provide our client families with the best of live-streaming and event videography. Can’t recommend them highly enough!!”

- A mobile camera to capture the arrival and departure of the coffin
We also integrate the family slideshow directly into the livestream and replace any distorted music with high-quality audio in post-production. The final edited video includes professional titles, transitions, and closing scenes. This package includes two livestream operators for smooth, seamless production.
Additional Funeral Livestreaming & Memorial Video Services
Enhance your funeral livestream or memorial video with these valuable optional services, designed to accommodate different venues and viewing needs.
✅ Site Visit for Funeral Livestream Setup – $110
For new, remote, or complex funeral venues, we offer an optional pre-event site visit (up to one hour). This visit allows our team to test the mobile data connection and plan the best camera and equipment setup for your funeral livestream. If livestreaming is not possible due to poor signal, we will professionally record the funeral service and upload it the same day for family and friends to view online.
✅ Graveside Service Recording – $400 (Premium Package only)
Extend your memorial video coverage with a graveside recording. As part of the Premium Package, we dispatch two team members: one packs down the main setup while the other uses a separate camera and microphone to record the graveside ceremony. This footage is professionally integrated into your edited funeral memorial video, preserving every part of the farewell.
✅ Daylight Projector Hire – $350
For large indoor venues, our ultra-bright daylight projector ensures your funeral slideshow presentation is seen clearly by all guests. Capable of projecting sharp images up to 5 metres wide, it performs exceptionally well even in rooms with moderate ambient light — perfect for sharing treasured photos during funeral and memorial services.
✅ Large Daylight TV Hire – $350
For large indoor venues, our ultra-bright daylight TV ensures your funeral slideshow presentation is seen clearly by all guests. Capable of projecting a bright image in direct sunlight, it performs exceptionally well even in rooms with lots of ambient light — perfect for sharing treasured photos during funeral and memorial services
✅ PA Equipment – $350
We have a selection of cordless microphones, Bose PA systems, Sony Large 700w wireless speakers as well as a selection of other PA Equipment (we configure this for each scenario). This ensures maximum vocal quality indoors or outdoors.
-
A: Additional services can help create a more complete and meaningful tribute. These may include multi-camera coverage for wider and closer perspectives, enhanced professional audio recording of the celebrant and lectern, and mobile camera coverage to respectfully capture moments such as the coffin leaving the church. Photo slideshow integration, music enhancement and light post-production editing can also add depth to the final recording. A downloadable copy and extended online hosting ensure family and friends can revisit the service when needed. Each enhancement is designed to preserve the day with clarity, dignity and care.
-
A: Yes. Music and photographs can absolutely be included in a memorial video. We can create a thoughtfully structured slideshow using your chosen images and pair it with meaningful music that reflects your loved one’s life and personality. Transitions, gentle pacing and light enhancement are applied to ensure the video feels respectful and beautifully presented. The goal is to create a tribute that honours memories in a heartfelt and dignified way, allowing family and friends to reflect and remember.
Mobile Data & Funeral Livestream Reliability
At Cole Studios, we use professional-grade livestreaming equipment, industry-leading modems, and advanced streaming techniques to ensure the highest-quality funeral livestream experience. Our goal is to provide families with a seamless, respectful, and real-time connection to the service, no matter where they are.
However, for a live funeral broadcast to work, a stable mobile data signal is required at the venue. In rare cases, issues such as Telstra network outages, rural blackspots, or poor mobile reception may interrupt our ability to stream the funeral live.
If mobile data is not available at the time of the service, rest assured — we will record the entire funeral ceremony in full HD and upload the complete memorial video later the same evening. This ensures your loved one’s farewell is still professionally captured, beautifully preserved, and ready to share with friends and family across the globe.
-
A: Reliable livestreaming starts with preparation and the right equipment. We assess the venue beforehand and test internet strength on arrival. Wherever possible, we use a hard-wired internet connection, as this provides the most stable and dependable stream. If a direct connection is not available, we use high-quality bonded mobile data systems with multiple network connections to improve reliability. Professional streaming hardware, dedicated cameras and continuous monitoring throughout the service help minimise the risk of interruptions. While no livestream can ever be guaranteed 100% without a hard-wired connection, every reasonable step is taken to provide the most stable and respectful broadcast possible.
-
A: If connectivity issues occur, we have contingency measures in place. Our systems are set up to reconnect automatically if a brief interruption happens, and we continuously monitor the stream throughout the service. Where possible, we use bonded connections or hard-wired internet to reduce the likelihood of dropouts. Most importantly, the entire service is recorded locally in high quality, independent of the livestream. This ensures that even if there is a temporary disruption online, a complete and uninterrupted recording is still available for the family to view and share afterwards.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
A: Yes. Friends and family can join the funeral service online via a secure private livestream link. This allows loved ones who are interstate, overseas or unable to attend in person to be part of the service in real time. The link can be shared easily with invited guests, and the stream is designed to be simple to access on phones, tablets, laptops or smart TVs. A recording is also available afterwards for those who may not be able to watch live.
-
A: Yes. The memorial video is designed to be suitable for sharing with family and friends after the service. It can be delivered via a secure digital link, making it easy to view, download and distribute privately. The video is edited thoughtfully and respectfully, ensuring it feels appropriate for ongoing remembrance. Many families choose to keep the memorial video as a lasting tribute, allowing loved ones to revisit and reflect in their own time.
-
A: Yes. Every funeral livestream is recorded locally in high quality, independent of the online stream. This ensures a complete and uninterrupted copy of the service is preserved, even if there are temporary internet issues. The final recording is made available to the family via a secure digital link for viewing and download. This allows the service to be revisited and shared with loved ones who were unable to attend or watch live.
-
A: It’s best to book as soon as the service details are confirmed. Funeral arrangements are often made within a short timeframe, so securing live-streaming early helps ensure availability and allows time to coordinate with the venue and funeral director. Early confirmation also provides time to assess internet access, equipment requirements and any additional elements such as slideshows or enhanced audio. The sooner the booking is confirmed, the smoother the preparation process will be.
-
A: A site visit is a pre-event inspection of the venue to assess layout, lighting, access and technical requirements before the day of the service or event. For new or unfamiliar locations, a site visit is highly recommended. It allows us to check internet connectivity, identify suitable camera positions, confirm power access and understand where key moments will take place. This preparation helps ensure smooth setup and reliable coverage. For venues we regularly work at, a site visit is usually not required because we are already familiar with the layout and technical considerations. Ultimately, a site visit reduces uncertainty, improves efficiency and helps the day run seamlessly.
